This painting is inspired by the hope that anything can happen next if we can hold onto the unwavering optimism of our childhood. There is joy between the chaos that surrounds us and a smile that remains in waiting.

Painter born in London, I have been living in Houston, TX since 2008. I am fascinated with exploring the potential of childhood. In my youth I always believed my future had endless possibilities and my work is about connecting with that moment. There is a positivity that lies in the approach of a child and an acceptance to the notion that anything could happen next. Recently I've been creating a series of portriats on post-it notes. I love the idea of using such a common material to create a celebration of someone which in my opinion is the purpose of a portrait.
