About The Artwork

While my paintings are clearly representational, I tend to think of them more in terms of abstraction, especially with regard to composition and color. I enjoy the juxtapositions of unusual objects and the dramatic effects of theatrical lighting to push the compositions even further into abstraction, while still retaining the feeling of actual objects in a physical space.
