About The Artwork
Argento Vivo – Quicksilver. The inspiration for this metallic piece came to me on a gloomy winter morning. I looked outside and saw how miserable it looked, but then I also saw the way the snow glistened in the light and how pretty that was. I made me think of the popular saying, there is beauty in everything, but not everyone is able to see it. If we change the way we look at things, everything will look beautiful and in turn we will be happier. This painting exhibits tonnes of amazing textures which are enhances by the metallic silvers. It is painting on a deep-edged cotton canvas with acrylic paints. Small amounts of silicone have been used to create a range of textures. The tools used were palette knives and sponges. This painting will come with a Certificate of Authenticity and some damage-free hanging tools.
