Artist's Work, #2 Painting

Series «Artist’s work», oil, canvas, magnet, 5х5 cm, 9,5х9,5 cm, 2022 Faced with the need to earn a living, I began to think about what and how I could offer society in exchange for money to meet my needs. "What" - it was immediately clear, my art. And "how" (to evaluate it) was unclear to me. To judge a work only by the value of the time spent directly on its creation seemed wrong intuitively. But constantly devaluing myself, it was difficult to comprehend this destructive process. To create, for example, a drawing, I need a few minutes. But I can think over the idea, plot, composition, color solutions and details for several days, carrying the project in my head. From what moment to turn on the stopwatch? Looking for answers for myself, I created the Artist’s work project. I call it a project on the border of research and art therapy.
