At the Fox Painting

This was done from midtown St. Louis studies inspired by that eerie fall/winter sky, right before the sun hits that blinding angle. More often than not, that anxious, heavy-sky feeling envoked by overcast, not-quite-pleasant, late afternoon skies hang like a thick cloud around the city. But we just carry on anyhow - dinners to eat and shows to be seen. This is a view facing south on Grand Ave., just about the time of day and year that I’d be leaving Powell Hall after taking my daughter to the Children’s Symphony.
