Painting, Gouache on Other
Size: 31.5 W x 25.6 H x 1 D in
I Have done this painting when i came back from this beautiful place on the French west Coast: Le Cap-Ferret. it was during Winter and while I was over there, we had this huge Storm, HUGE ! We hadn't saw that in France for ten years. We were facing the Atlantic Ocean and some wind with a speed of 170 km/h and more. Amazing, powerful and a real disaster. Fortunately i was in the safest place in the Cap Ferret: La Pointe in the house of a great friend who i liked to called "L'Ouzbek". This man spend all his time in money to fight against the ocean in building a huge dyke that protects all the Cap Ferret from the Atlantic ocean that "eat" the sand of the Cap Ferret. We can find the Dyke all across the center of the painting. Its very geometrical because of the rocks that form this Dyke. But also because the nature was destroyed. The trees were completely broken. The colors are, because of all this, very tropical. Normally there should be some more yellow or orange to represent the sun but during this winter, the nature was wild !

I started panting with street art and tags. My original name was "POSED" and then "ARTYS". Though initially exciting, once the adrenaline wore off I moved onto other forms of expression. My three main sources of inspiration are at this time were: Jean Charles de Castelbajac, Patrick Cauvin (an Haïtien Painter) and of course the Street Art every where in the world. After the tags, I did a lot of graphs while I was at school. Studying was not my forte so I searched for other means to keep my mind occupied instead of just being bored. It was a source of satisfaction to do it and I have a range of these from 1999 to 2003. After this period, I experimented further with writing, poetry, songs and other means with which language can create. I then started to paint on Canvas with Poscas, Spray Bomb and 3D painting when I came back from a year in New York, where I have meet Patrick Cauvin the Haïtien Painter. This is where I really found my true love of art. I do two types of painting: Abstract and composition. Since the summer 2008, I have done 40 paintings, 5 exhibitions and sold 13 pieces. At this moment I am preparing some new paintings for the next exhibition.
