The painting represents a self-portrait in the form of a marble statue carried on a beach by a group of exhausted mannequins. The painting is very introspective and its deeper meaning is not even clear to the author himself. One of the mannequins has remained indiertro in the path, another carelessly smokes a pipe (referring to the famous realist painting of Il'ja Efimovič Repin, "I battellieri del Volga"), all the others fatigue abundantly in the enterprise. The sand of the beach represents the winding and breathless path of life. Probably the mannequins are the authors of the destiny of the same character that they carry on the cart. The idea of representing a similar scene was born from observing the end of the video of the famous song High Hopes by Pink Floyd, in which a group of people carry a statue on their shoulder under an enigmatic sky.
