About The Artwork
Skilful and charming painting of Autumn vegetables from my allotment painted with focus and attention to detail. The textures of the garlic, potatoes and onion contrast with the smoother surface of the pepper pot. The small blue and white pepper pot is a favourite item I like to use in paintings. I think it's based on Chinese blue and white ceramics but probably from the 19th century. I rearranged the items so many times before I settled on this composition.
