About The Artwork

This painting is inspired by the poem by Ellen Phethean which has the line 'Autumns slow fall into dark', the time before winter when the leaves have almost gone but those golden sunlit days remain and the dark is in the sky as winter approaches. This is a joyful painting to remind us of those days as winter slowly settles upon us. I use the patterns of fields, trees and leaves to create a feeling of the incredible beauty of nature, and its constantly changing seasons.
