This painting is framed and is wired for hanging. The dimensions I listed on this site are for the image within the frame. The dimensions don't include size of the frame. There is a tiny chip on the top right, bottom right, and bottom left corners of the frame. The actual dimensions of the frame are 22.5 x 28.5 x 1 inches. I was inspired to paint this scenery based on a photo I took while traveling near Oslo, Norway. The lake depicted in this painting is by a timber mill and golf course. I called this painting "Awakening to the Wisdom," because of the trees, greenery, and water. These aspects of nature remind me of the divine messages all of humanity can receive by connecting to the beauties and natural elements of this planet we live in, before it is corrupted by humans. In this painting, there is unity and harmony amongst neighbors in a village, next to a river, which water in the wisdom of Kabbalah represents the idea of sharing; and the trees which defy and grow against gravity, represent going against selfishness. I hope the viewer feels the sense of harmony and balance that this painting represents. By viewing this painting, one can rise above the daily stresses and hustle bustle that all of humankind face day in and day out. Oil on canvas has always been my chosen medium, since I was inspired by my master art teacher Monique Baudaux to follow this artistic path since the 1990s. My style is impressionist. Many have stated that my paintings remind them of a combination of Monet and Renoir. This is no coincidence, since I highly admire their work and style.
