This paiting was exhibited at 'The Armory, art in Israel's militant/political context' The Tel-Aviv Museum of art, 2001 This painting is part of an ongoing series I had started in 2000. The subjects of the series are military equipment, a new combat aircraft, a battleship, a submarine, an oil-tanker and modern transportation vehicles. Army or civic installations as oil-rig or nuclear facility can also be seen, positioned in nature landscapes: in the ocean, on the ground or in the air in time of movement and action. The vehicles are all well designed, and sophisticated. They combine advanced technology and have a great dangerous and destructive potential. Yet there is also heroism and progress to be found in these images. They trigger essential questions about the delicate relationship within the human race in itself and between Man and nature in the current era.
