Nico Wolfgang Hensel was born in 1977 in southern Germany, married, two sons. My father was a doctor and my mother a housewife. Since 2004 I have been self-employed as a designer, developer, photographer, philosopher, interior designer and artist. I have been featured in various publications on typography in national media such as PAGE (magazine for digital design and media production), Novum (World of Graphic Design) and book publications such as "Webdesign Index" or "Fraktur mon Amour", Verlag Hermann Schmidt, Mainz, to name a few. Some of my own projects were presented on television in various formats, such as "Living extreme".I have been awarded with various design prizes over the years, such as the Red Dot Design Award, the IF Design Award or the nomination of the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany. For someone who sees my work for the first time, I try to transform my knowledge of multiple communication using the golden ratio, through color, etc., which I learned in my design studies, into a unique visual aesthetic of my views on art. I try to create or photograph compositions and images that represent new stylistic devices. When it comes to a favorite piece of art that I have created, honestly, I don't have one. I think it's because I have more interests than time for this life. As an example: I almost never cook the same recipe, I rarely bake the same bread, I always try to expand recipes differently. I own 70 cookbooks and have never cooked a recipe from them as it is written there. I never buy the same clothes twice, I have 17 different eyeglass frames, none are alike. I am constantly questioning everything to possibly encounter new themes. I'm definitely a visual junkie, always looking for new artistic inspiration in the form of views, patterns, materials and processes. I see something, change it, add something or create something new. I am constantly hunting and scanning my surroundings, and I am addicted to change, and I am also constantly trying to change my ideas. Currently, I'm trying to shoot water-acrylic blends with my kids' plastic water guns. As a graphic designer and photographer with an above average sensitivity to everything I see, my brain is in scan mode 24 hours a day. So the current state is always influencing me. Sure, I see something different all the time in the mountains than I do in the big city, but I'm always influenced by my surroundings, people, conversations ...
