BLUE IRIS 90 Painting

The Dutch and Lowountry artists of the 16th century were world famous for their incredible paintings of floral bouquets. Years and years would be spent creating these wonders. Interestingly enough the bouquets contained flowers that never bloomed at the same time nor were many of the flowers local to the artists. The flowers were super real, most flowers could only wish they looked so good. I am not attempting to achieve their super realism but to capture in an abstract way the essence of each flower be it from a single stalk or the one flower which makes up a head of one stalk.
