With “Abstract Buildings” and “Somewhere in Hell” allows us taking part in one of those suburbs where it’s impossible to see reference points: it’s a triumph of urban irrationality where the victim is the man himself. The landscapes are decadents, harsh and inhospitable as the cities, places of Dantesque condemnation. The painting of E.B. is continuous reference to some of the most important avant-garde of the twentieth century, from the Futurism dynamism of light that distorts space and volume, to the impetuous gesture of the American abstractionism, to the reflexive painting of Existential Realism.
