About The Artwork
This acrylic on canvas, completed in 2013 was inspired at a local restaurant which unfortunately is no longer in business. I was eating my lunch in this restaurant who use to exhibit my works of art and I noticed that on the menu they had baklava cheesecake. I love backlava, and cheesecake as well, so I ordered it....oh my ...ohhh myyy... It melted in my mouth. Later that evening, I went to work on this creation and came out with this abstract of my wonderful experience. You can see the layers of backlava.....oh my.... This acrylic on canvas painting is shipped directly from my studio and is sprayed with a clear UV protective finish coat. Painting comes with a certificate of Authenticity. Michael Todd Morrison

Born and raised near the beach in Southeast Texas, have lived in many different states and countries, currently live on the coastal waters of Galveston bay. Being a "Renaissance Man" as my friends call me, my wealth of knowledge has matured over the years and shows in my work. With over 35 years of painting and photography, I continue to grow and refine my creations. 2015 was in 100 buses in Raleigh area with Art on the Move for most of the year. I have won several awards, in galleries, and currently on display at the USDA Gallery in Washington, D.C. I grew up around nature. Horticulture, flowers, and various works in wood, stone, and other media have moved me to painting on acrylic on canvas and other media.
