Ballad of The End of Our Lives Painting

After the death of my father i created 2 series of works to explain how i dealt with such a tumultuous time. This painting is from my Void series. Here the void lies in the lack of intention between myself and the canvas. While creating my monotype Coping series I would lay down canvas to catch the excess oil and wood stain that I would drop. In this particular work, I used the canvas to clean my roller of ink between sessions.
