Contact us.Nancy Nikberg is a self-taught painter and contemporary artist who utilizes a conceptual approach shaped by a rich multicultural background. As the daughter of Iranian parents, raised in Sweden, shaped by years living in London, and now based in Hawaii, she has experienced the world through multiple cultural lenses. While her work is not strictly autobiographical, these experiences inform perspective and her fascination with identity, belonging, cultural memory, and human connection.
Her work is driven by ideas of structure and chaos, exploring the patterns, symbols, and connections that exist beneath the surface of everyday experience. Although each body of work develops its own visual language, they are united by a fascination with finding order within complexity.
Nikberg works primarily in acrylic, gouache, and ink, using bold colour, graphic forms, and layered symbolism to translate ideas into visual narratives. Her practice moves between representational imagery and abstraction, allowing concepts to determine the style and approach of each series.
She was recognized as a Finalist in the Teravarna 16th ABSTRACT International Juried Art Competition. Her work is held in private collections.
