Bathroom of my old house Painting

In 2009, I went to live in downtown Candelaria in Bogota in a tremendously old house. This was in La calle de La Agonia and the house was 300 years old. In its architecture you can see the passing of the years and the various people who have inhabited it, since it does not have an architectural pattern, but rather the house is built from the various arrangements that have been made. When I lived there, I started this series of paintings. Now, these places of my old house are in my mind only as vague memories. Every time I organize the studio and find this series, I make decisions about how they should continue and I have gradually covered them up with more and more layers of paint. This act then represents the passing of time, where the figures that made up the paintings have gradually disappeared, just as my memory is also fading.
