Beach Party Painting

I was born and raised in Southern Oregon. Yes it rains a lot there, but the payoff is the green trees and mountains. It is a beautiful state. I married and raised four children. During this time I didn't have much time for art. But my interest never left and the beauty of my surroundings was always an inspiration. Now that I'm a grandma and living in Arizona, my interest in art has increased ten fold, and so has my time. I started painting a year ago and have painted almost every day since. I am very emotionally invested in my paintings. Each one has a special meaning to me even though the style and subject may vary greatly from painting to painting. WhiIe painting I always have someone in particular in mind . Possibly a homeless person I've seen, or a friend who I remember, or a relative who is gone. Maybe someone I have loved, or someone that I knew only casually. While I am painting I am remembering them.
