Benches and Figures Painting

For this piece, I was inspired by observing people's behavior in public spaces such as waiting rooms, shops, parks and the outdoors. I like to translate such idiosyncrasies onto the canvas with my abstract expressions in order to bring awareness to the observer of people's quotidian events and individual perceptions of the behaviors of others. The art medium I mainly use is acrylic paint due to its infinite array of colors and mixes. My style is mainly abstract expressionism and figurative. In this particular piece, I immersed myself in the scene as another judgmental bystander. You can see such instances, for example, in the figure staring at the nude instead of carrying on with their reading. If you look closely, you will see many other figures passing judgement even if their perception is illogical.
