Ukraine
Maryna Melnyk is a contemporary Ukrainian artist. She came to art 4 years ago, but all her life, hobbies and jobs was connected with creativity. She studied drawing and fine art as part of her degree in fashion design. Because of the war Maryna with her daughter and mother were forced to leave Ukraine and move to Great Britain where they found a reliable refuge; and Maryna can continue to make her Art. In her paintings she use bright and saturated colors, working in traditional and modern techniques with acrylic and oil. She inspired by nature, especially sunsets skies and a magic play of the light: " In my painting I try to fix a moment, when breath stops from exciting beauty." The other part of her art is symbolic paintings as a subject of the philosophical and her own reflection proper. These symbols are reproducing the history of Ukraine and her reflection on the war in Ukraine. "I believe that visual art is a universal language that unites people. It forms a dialogue between the artist and the viewer through the images and own reflections of the observer, for this you only need to open your mind and heart."
