About The Artwork
I love vibrant colors and bold brush strokes, just intuitive out of my head. I never know how it will end up, but from time to time the painting speaks to me and I can see certain structures which give me a hint where it wants to go. Blue is one of my favourite colors and yellow balances it. The title comes as intuitive as the painting delevopes. The canvas comes on a wooden stretching frame. Unframed. The painting is signed on the front, named on the back and treated with spray against dust and UV rays.

Abstract artist Angela Schulten loves to experiment with structure and playful marks. Growing up in east Germany behind the wall, where colours and materials were rare she had to be creative with what she had. Many years later materials like paper, canvas, pastels and acrylic colors are now her favourite. Painting intuitive layer by layer, removing, rubbing or washing out and applying new colors. „Every painting has it’s own process, I like it to see something new in my painting, whenever I look at it.“ Lately she has been working on collages, combining paper work new with intuitive marks.
