"Bird pedicure" is a painting created by contemporary French artist painter Eric Bourdon with acrylic art paint on linen canvas stretched on a wooden support frame. The artwork is varnished and ready to hang. Fish pedicure is old-fashioned, try the bird pedicure !… With the feather or the beak… One can feel in this painting a slight attraction for Oriental calligraphy, Chinese ideograms or Mayan glyphs. In any case, this is what Eric Bourdon has in mind, a kind of horizon towards which the French painter is moving more and more. A simple and expressive drawing that lets the colors burst, which no longer seeks to occupy the space but to animate it, or to ignite it ! In other words, the French artist creates something from nothing. It’s all about improvisation, it’s what you do with a pen on a piece of paper when you have nothing to do, in the bus, in the subway, at a restaurant, in a waiting room, everywhere… You draw some quick doodles without thinking, without any goal in mind, or any idea of what you’re going to draw, just for fun, and sometimes one of them takes shape, and seems funny.
