About The Artwork
This self portrait was inspired by me turning 50 last year. Deep inside my soul I still feel like a little 6 years old waiting to celebrate my Birthday as the biggest event of the year. The guests at my party are my friends, the animals. The rooster, little me is holding, probably for sacrifice. I am 6 or 7 years old in this painting and have no idea what my life will turn out to be. Now as a grown woman I know but back then I had wondered what my destiny would bring.
