Art Description

Painting: Acrylic on Canvas.

"Black diamond" 16"X 16" acrylic/canvas 2014.
This painting was inspired by carbonado, also commonly known as black diamond, that is the toughest form of natural diamond. It is only found in alluvial deposits in the Central African Republic and mainly in Brazil.
One of the theories of origin is,that it was formed inside an earlier-generation giant star in our area, that long ago exploded in a supernova And other, that origin was in interstellar space, due to the impact of an asteroid, rather than being thrown from within an exploding star.
