Bloom Painting

This painting is called "bloom". It is acrylic on comic strips on canvas. This painting is in my famous pop art style, with comic strips. I was inspired to paint this piece because I saw the singer K michelle's album cover. She was one of many girls who has self image issues and had a few botched proceedures leaving her with health issues and feeling even more insecure. She talks about learning to love yourself even with the imperfections. That spoke to me. Society is always telling you how you need to look and who you need to be. There are so many women and even men that can never fully accept themselves for who they are. They are constantly being judged. But isn't it ok to just be you?! We're all a work in progress. As long as your working on your inner self, who cares who judges you.
