About The Artwork
With my series of 'Halves', I am searching for a balance between opening the paintings with energetic, gestural movements and then closing the pieces with slow, calming, and mindful strokes. I find this painting very peaceful and it reminds me of Japanese cherry blossom trees. The colours are delicate and bring a sense of harmony to the viewer.
