About The Artwork
Morocco has a long and vibrant tradition of folk music. I met these musicians when they played in the street as I was painting on my veranda in Fes. The little bird is a whimsical addition, inspired by one who tapped at my window every morning in Ghiza. The earth colors are in memory of the people who suffered in the Atlas earthquakes.
