My artistic practice spans a range of mediums including painting, installation, mixed media and sculpture. Painting, particularly abstract painting, has become my primary medium and a central subject of my work. I create multi-layered paintings with an investigative character, diving deep into the experience and psychology of colour, movement and self-expression. In the absence of representational subjects I gently lead the viewer away from the physical reality and guide them towards an inner reality, an introspection and an opportunity to 'hang out’ with the self. ​ I'm interested in the unique perception of colour and experience of the viewer and create work with this in mind. I haven't finished with this series just yet - it's an ongoing enquiry into the relationship between blue and white - foreground and background.
