blue staircase (#architecture series) Painting

"Blue staircase" was created in 2021. This is the staircase leading to the apartment of a person, who played a significant role during my school years. Svetlana was a lady who worked as a senior engineer. Svetlana was my tutor, who had brilliant skills at explaining mathematics and physics. She was our neighbor. I'm very thankful to her for teaching me for couple of years and explaining difficult mathematical formulas. She never charged my parents for teaching me, she was saying that the she really enjoys teaching me, and it was her hobby. Svetlana was living with her mother who's name was Roza. Roza was my grandma's colleague and best friend. They both were very kind to our family, and I felt like they are my family too. This particular artwork is a part of my #architecture series. 

I started working on #architecture series during summertime in 2021. Mostly I was inspired by buildings created during Soviet era. There are many residential buildings constructed in "Stalinki" style which is pretty iconic in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. "Stalinki" residential buildings have spacious rooms, deep basement, and all of them were built from bricks. I love walking around the city and taking pictures of all buildings, that I find attractive. I use my photographs as a reference. My #architecture series started with house, where I grow up. It was built in 1957. Survived the strongest earthquake in 1966. It was designed by architect Alexander Viktorovich Yakushev. House № 22 is located at the intersection of Pushkin and Khamid Alimdzhan street.
