About The Artwork
The urban scape is painted with acrylics on a WoodBorad (10mm). “La capilla de la Madruga” in the middle of the composition. Raw wood surface without treatment. Without priming. I use a little more of paint, but allows me to get an unsaturated finished. With pure colour tones. Without mixing them previously. That gesture offer to the painting a realist tone that flows until an impressionist image with loose brushmarks. Colors fusionates directly on the canvas. It’s been more than 4 years that I arrived to Bollullos from Berlin cause I had the posssibility to get a working space in the village. I wasn’t sure but I come back after thinking a lot. I returned with a little bit of money and a lot of willing to spend the maximum amount of time painting my artworks. These two paintings are an homenaje to the village and its atmosphere. The place before it was nothing, just empty. It was evolving little by little, until it became the chaotic art laboratory that is nowadays.
