From an early age music and painting were my biggest passions. This has always stayed the same. When I had to choose something to study, I went for music and drawing became my favorite hobby on the background. Whenever I was not making music at my job, I was found drawing. The drawings I displayed were reflections of my emotional state or impressions of the sights around me. After a long day of work even fatigue was seen in my drawings, as well as the radiance of joy on my good days. Since 2002 I have settled in Holland. Unfortunately, after suffering from a severe car accident, I had to leave my preforming activity and continue to engage only in pedagogical work. I did not let my motivation leave and started studying to become a creative therapist and specialized in music- and visual therapy. All this time my favorite hobby, painting, had not left me. In my opinion, painting and music are similar. They both bring joy, convey the image, and create a character without using words. Painting illustrates and complements an image with details, bringing your imagination to live, while adding visible emotion in the portrait. It illustrates new creations with just paint. Those words can also be contributed to music, but in that case, it illustrates pictures through sounds. Visual arts can illustrate the musical images themselves, giving them even more strength and making them even more powerful. A good classic example is the music of “Pictures at an Exhibition” by M. Mussorgsky. Written under the impression of viewing pictures from an art exhibition, it merged with them into a single figurative-artistic-visual-musical masterpiece of art. After all the work that I have put in, I can proudly announce that my artworks are in private collections of various cities of Russia and the Baltic States. My paintings are a visualization of my thoughts and experiences. I enjoy painting not as a hobby, but as a necessity to life. I feel it to be my duty to spread as much positivity and happiness as I possibly can to make others feel more appreciated of life.
