Boxed (Robot) Boy is a large abstract artwork with varied influences drawn from Diebenkorn, De Kooning, and Basquiat. The Robot Boy series features Robot Boy in various scenarios. Here he is as a brand new toy, still in the box. I've used bold colours which highlight the character, and I’ve softened the overall painting by adding lighter pinks. Boxed Boy is the third in the Robot Boy series, and will not be the last, as I enjoy taking him on new adventures. The painting itself has been painted on a high-quality custom made synthetic canvas stretched onto Victorian Ash frame stretcher bars. I have used artist-grade acrylic paints. I have continued painting over the sides of the canvas so that it can be hung with or without a frame. The painting has been finished with several layers of gloss varnish to bring out the colours and to add protection. Boxed Boy 90cm x 120cm. I have signed the painting, and it is ready to hang in your home or office
