About The Artwork
Every year the trees where I live change into beautiful colors before they die for winter. I have always wanted to do a painting of them in the transition to capture their bright brilliance of colors against the evergreens. I found this tree all by itself surrounded in shadow and darkness but with a brilliant light cascading right on the tree. It felt like the tree was trying to make a statement of pride and I was inspired to paint the emotions of the tree as I saw them.
