This work was inspired by my experience in 8-year meditation. Now I can tell exactly what the Buddha is thinking. Or rather, I will say this: The Buddha does not think about anything. I hope that the viewer will feel a new visual experience for themselves in this work. This is a combination of light, lively strokes and static, thoroughness of sculpture. It is a changeable, fleeting world and a pivot in something eternal, permanent. And it is this static, dependability, that is in the Buddha himself. What we are looking for in this world has long been in the Buddha, in ourselves. I want to let the audience feel it. Feel safe inside the Buddha, inside yourself, and find that watcher in the jungle of the world. I chose this particular topic, because I think it is currently very relevant for our time. The theme of security, tranquility, in an unpredictable world, touched all of us, right now - in the 21st century. We all lived in a more or less calm, understandable world, but the world showed us that we need to be prepared for the unexpected, namely, to be strong inside as a Buddha. So right now, we need to find a foothold within ourselves, as a Buddha. Be modern Buddhas
