Butterfly Woman was inspired by butterflies, metamorphosis, evolving, life, masks, and wings. Butterfly woman is in a perpetual metamorphosis. She is not sure who she will become but to her it’s never about the destination and all about the journey. The future is uncertain and she hopes that her new wings will be strong enough to withstand the long flight.

I also have a Master’s in Bilingual Education from Southern Methodist University. My art work is an ongoing exploration of life and the world which surrounds me. I have always been fascinated with finding new ways of depicting emotions and moods through my use of line, movement, and texture.
