COCKETTE Painting

My name is Colignon and I was born in 1952 in Antwerp Belgium. I am drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. Creating whatever, is a passion and a gift you are born with. I am a self-taught artist. In the seventies I started as a publicity painter. Later on I got commissions as an artist such as landscapes, portrets, all kind of pictures, scenes etc. However after a certain while, these commissions lost my interest. In the eighties I tried to find my own way of expressing my artistic inspiration which finally resulted in many erotic toned works. Meanwhile about 30 years went by. During this time I experimented with several materials and a very personal way of working and style was born. I can describe my work in one word: "APART" What I want to express in most of my art are the hidden and repressed aspects of society. (all human natures). Are you interested?
