Within the series - Contemplating the garden - this small-format painting, I conceive it as a still life, reminiscent of a drawing, which I do not renounce, since I consider it to show what I interpret on this subject In this painting, you can see small drawing strokes that help to identify details of the cacti and their containers, all framed to focus attention on the main bodies of the motif and not need perspectives in the composition The license that I allow myself when interpreting what I see, is a cure of humility and not of pride, since trying to imitate the color of nature in any case is nothing more than audacity on my part, but due to my professional condition it is stronger the honest impulse to express publicly without shame what I feel when facing the work

Began his first steps in painting as a student at the La Salle school in Valladolid and it was in 1973 when his dream of painting really began, going as a student to Román García's studio in Burgos His first steps in Sculpture were carried out in the studio with his teacher El Maestro Chicharro in Madrid
