Café Sperl Predominant : Braun, Yellow, Black, Blue Size 31.49“ x 47.24“ Size 80 x 120 cm If you already follow my work (if not, your really should ;0) ), you know that when I came in Austria for 11 years ago I immediately fall in love for the coffeehouse there. It is an institution here and going there where probably for me a process on my Austrian integration. Or I do simply like to take a café in such wonderful architecture and historic places…Therefore I was deciding to make a serie of Austrian’s coffeehouse and start it many year ago. There is so much beautiful coffeehouse in Vienna that it is probably a no end works and it is interesting to see the evolution of my painting technics though those different artworks. Café Sperl is an Austrian Register Historic Places. It has won several awards. These include the "Austrian Cafe of the Year” 1998 and the Goldene Kaffeebohne, So beautiful place with quality. I especially like the wood furniture (like the unbelievable well worked coat rack) and also the marble table; the typical and yellow wall reminding the color of the imperial Schönbrunn Castel. Well, definitely a place to be.
