About The Artwork
The glowing Amber Sunset painting is inspired by the soft setting of the western sun over the Pacific Ocean. The shoreline waves are glowing from the reflected amber, golden and soft pink light from the atmosphere. I hope the viewer is pulled into a state of relaxation admiring the textured waves lapping the sand. Layers of blue, amber, turquoise glazes in the foam and water. Textured Sculpting gel mediums are combined with paint and glazes to create the 3-D effect on solid wood cradled hardboard. I can paint and sculpt more layers on wood that create the glow.
