California state of mind Painting

Creativity has always been a part of Saskia's life. Sometimes it is actually about creating and sometimes it's about being creative in the way she thinks or finds solutions. A lot of inspiration comes from visiting big cities or travelling through countries. Since going abroad has not been possible for a while, the outdoors has been a great way to get inspired. The beach and mountains have been a new way to get inspiration. In everyday life Saskia is mostly attracted to black, grey and white. In art however she prefers a lot of color. Her paintings are mostly in acrylics and mixed media. Saskia loves adding layers, the result of a painting is completely different than how it started. At the moment she works on two collections. One is abstract with mostly black, white and natural colors. The other collection is colorful and moreplayfull.
