Calm after the storm Painting

This painting illustrates a calm ship and sea after a long, long journey. Just like a ship sails through the sea and encounters all kinds of tempers that the sea has to offer, we as humans deal with life. A ship adjusts to low and high tides of the sea, stands up to storms, and steadily floats on the water until it reaches its destination. Similarly, Growth, success, stability, failure, balance, peace, noise, disputes, and humility help us grow and come out stronger than before. I chose 8 by 8 inches mini canvas to create “calm after the storm”. The rocks and sails have been delicately carved with a palette knife using warmer tones with a hint of greens and greys to complement the composition. Intricate brushwork is evident at midground, from dark rustic hues to light illuminating cantaloupe yellows. “To someone who needs to hear it today, do not worry so much about getting ahead, for now just get through”.
