About The Artwork

The piece is a metaphor on war. The symbolism is meant to attract an emotional response from the viewer. We send our children away to be damaged physically, emotinally and spiritually behind a banner or flag. A logo. The ink on paper has a innocent illustration texture and appearance. This is a brief illusion. The technical realism in the drawing is to make sure there is no disconnection for the viewer. It ialso creates layers so that something new appears upon each viewing.
