About The Artwork

Unusual formations similar in shape to mushrooms have been forming for thousands of years, creating their amazing landscapes. Lower part of the mountains consists of a soft rock called tuff (soft limestone), which is gradually destroyed under the influence of natural factors, wind, etc. Upper "head" of the mountains is made of granite - it collapses more slowly, which is why we can see such bizarre shapes. Those mountains are called Three Sisters - one of the symbols of Cappadocia, located at entrance to city from the west. I took a bus trip deep into Turkey to take this photo, from which the painting was later painted. Stones seems to me a family of stones. This city is very popular for riding in hot air balloons. Also City Museum "Göreme" - a national park, translated as "let no one see". Hidden cities underground has served as a haven for people for centuries. It protected townspeople from raids and warriors. A lot of churches of the early period of Christianity based in Cappadocia, where many famous Saints preached teaching of Christ, some became martyrs. Even Nicholas the Wonderworker spent time in the mountains of Cappadocia, the region of Alexandria, in Turkey.
