Capricorn Painting

As the first painting in the series Capricorn was the catalyst for the series. I was extremely fascinated with the idea of the infinite vastness of space being mirrored in two ways. One on the surface of water and how metaphorically the bubble can become a symbol of the star sign; and second the idea of the human experience being infinite and in balance with the vastness of space. The more I meditated on this concept the more I realized we are the fish and that brought me to an interesting realization that I am often contemplating. Do we act on free will or are we predestined to some fate and as such with either, what does it mean for us as a part of society?
