About The Artwork
Heavily textured piece with acrylic paints. I use a variety of application methods. Primary step was pouring on the texture and using my fingers to scrape and drag it over the surface of the canvas. I, then poured liquid paint over the texture in various spots and used a palette knife and brush (slightly) to create the piece. I utilized black paint from the tube (dry application) to highlight certain areas. The border is painted white for a finished look. It is ready to hang. This painting was featured on the cover of a magazine as it was being created. Harbor Style magazine, a SW Florida publication - October, 2015, The Arts Issue.

I am an abstract expressionist artist. I paint from raw emotion and release every ounce of my spirit into my creative endeavors. I studied Theater Arts and Design in New York. Painting is a medium that came to me later in my life. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to express myself through abstraction. It's a delicious treat... sometimes decadent. I love the challenges that are presented as I contemplate new ideas, implement my thoughts and watch them become a reality. in addition, I love listening to guests who visit my studio and purchase my art. Thanks to my clients and collectors - both national and international I was able to fundraise for the Charlotte Arts & Humanities Council of Charlotte County (Florida). It was wonderful to be able to dance and paint for such a great cause and to celebrate the arts community through scholarships for students.
