About The Artwork

Music has an important place in my creation process. I listen to music before and when I paint. It's from it that it begins, my thoughts fly on it and then my hands are able to move on the canvas to express a feeling. This work has been inspired by the way of Khatia Buniatishvili plays piano, with such a great talent and sensuality. This painting is a semiabstract one where a piano is suggested with charcoal in a large movement. The abstract background is created with acrylic, ink and woodstain. This work is vernished and right to be hanged on a wall.

Isabelle Mignot, a self-taught painter, was born in 1963 in France. She actually lives and works in Gouvieux (little town near Chantilly in the North of Paris). She regularly takes part in collective exhibitions both in France and abroad but her abstract paintings are also shown in a permanent way in various french galleries. Since 2015, we can discover some of her paperworks in the gallery Carré d'Artistes - Den Haag (The Netheterlands). Her art has been distinguished by several awards on numerous occasions. Her paintings can be found in several private collections in Europa, USA and China. "Caminante, no hay camino, hace camino al andar ..." (Walker, there's no path, it's made by walking .." ) Here is her main source of inspiration. Whatever materials she is using (acrylic, ink, coffee, mortar, paper, canvas ...), Isabelle Mignot only speaks about life and our inner path, over time which passes, from an idea to another, from a feeling to another ... walking, dreaming, walking, finding, walking, loving, walking, always becoming ... In each painting, hidden between the brushstrokes, between music of her signs or silences, sketches and impressions, hidden in a mingled whole, symbols and ideas, colors and movements, we discover ourself, we find ourself, feeling, living ...
