I walked many paths before taking up an artistic career. Biology was one of them, which, in many ways, I follow distantly today, as a knowledge that accompanies me throughout the aesthetic search for form and color. In the Oceanic Chronicles series, I produce works evidently linked to biology, but also to cartoon and drawing in a pure state, which structures the effects produced by color. Since the controversy between colorists and designers has been overcome, color and design play equally important roles in my work. The present Cetaceae is part of this line of pictorial research.
