Dear Viewer, I shall introduce myself not alone with words, thoughts, and wisdom but in addition to shapes and colors. The purpose of my art is not intended for the viewer to focus on the perceived rational perception of a face is a face, but instead the colors, texture, movement thus reveling yourself to your subconscious mind. It is the dark, inaccessible part of our personality, what little we know of it we have learned since being newborns. This newborn child in all of use is often humorously responsible for our massive instinctive drives and impulses that need immediate satisfaction with no sense of responsibility. This great reservoir is instinctive to drive us to create life instincts that are crucial to a pleasurable life of survival. The task of the viewer is to lead back to their newborn mind into the organic life and direct against the external world and other inherited thoughts present at birth. Therefore and above all else the viewer will find unknown expressions in forms unknown to us. Sincerely, David Stiles
