About The Artwork
In the last decade, I wanted to make a series of paintings with flowers as a motif, including the elements I like to use in still life. Thus, I join this elements with the wrappings they usually sell them in flower markets. "Bastón del Emperador", commonly referred to as Torch Ginger flower in English, is the local name in Latin America for these exotic flowers (Etlingera elatior) which I painted in a red variety.
